I am expecting my first child, and my husband and I have really found this book useful. It tells you what to look for, and what not to waste your money on, in purchasing baby items. I’m glad I got this early in my preganancy, before we have bought anything, and before we register for any baby gifts. Very useful!

Good on giving information about products in general, but does not get very specific. It describes all types of car seats, for example, but does not add any actual product reviews to help you make a better decision. Baby Bargains Secrets by Denise & Alan Fields is a much better buy for the money; it also includes good descriptions and explanations about the products and has actual product reviews by brand name, model name and price range to help you choose. They have actually researched the products they recommend.
